Luxation Periotomes are used as a periodontal ligament knife with fine tapering blade that compresses the alveolar bone, cuts the membrane and gently ease the tooth from its socket. Stubby (shorter length, larger diameter) handles make extraction safer as the user's finger can be placed at the instrument tip. Autoclavable. Manufactured with French stainless steel point and coated with titanium for flexibility.
